The tourists come to Egypt when the weather moderate

Throughout Egypt, days are commonly warm or hot, and nights are cool. Egypt has only two seasons: a mild winter from November to April and a hot summer from May to October. The only differences between the seasons are variations in daytime temperatures and changes in prevailing winds. In the coastal regions, temperatures range between an average minimum of 14° C in winter and an average maximum of 30° C in summer The best season to travel in Egypt is winter and spring, between the month of January until May. It’s also the high season for tourism in all part of Egypt. At this period of the year the temperature on the Egyptian territory is perfect for all types of activities: adventure in the desert, relaxing at the Red Sea or cruising on the Nile. On the other hand, try to avoid traveling in Egypt from June to late August. The thermometer in Egypt during those months easily reaches 45 C and the humidity reaches about 70 to 80%. Even if the best time to visit Egypt is usually from January to May, the weather is pleasant for all activities - around 25 C to 15 C.

In winter time, the day temperatures are about 12 or 15 degrees C depending on the regions, and the night temperature can drop to about 7 or 8 C. Winter is the best time to come and discover Egypt for several reasons: the extreme heat of the Egyptian capital, smog, dust and noise make the trip less enjoyable. It is nevertheless an excellent time to enjoy a week at the beach along of the Mediterranean. For travelers wishing to visit Egypt in winter, nights can be chilly in No matter if you travel in winter or in summer, most Egyptian interesting sites should be visited early in the morning or after sunset (at least when the sun is down). The early morning light offer incredible view of the historical places and are perfect moment for pictures.

The Weather In Summer and Winter:

Summer weather in Egypt is hot and dry in most of the country and humid in the Delta and along the Mediterranean Coast. In recent years the humidity has spread to Cairo and the city swelters in August. Winter is mild with some rain, but usually there are bright, sunny days and with cold nights. There are 5 days called Khamasin between the end of March and mid-May, where sand storms can occur sporadically. The sand storm season only comes during a short period in March and April, just for a very few days!

During the summer time, sun protection is the most important single consideration for an Egypt trip especially for the fair-skinned. Use of a sun hat is highly recommended. Cheap and pure cotton sun hats are made locally and available everywhere. Cairo weather is similar to Siwa, but you feel the heat more in Cairo due to the pollution in the air if there is no wind, but it's bearable for a day or two to see the sites and move on. In the summer the humidity is normally 60%, around 20% higher in Cairo than the desert due to the Nile and being next to the Delta so even though the temperatures are similar to Siwa you feel hotter in Cairo; saying that I travel to Cairo at different times of the year and 90% of the time the weather is great. There is normally a light breeze keeping the air... clean and the sun is normally out on most winter days. It does rain in Cairo in the winter months, there were floods half a meter deep last year, but that is very rare but it is worth bringing a light waterproof jacket or you can buy an umbrella for next to nothing at one of the many shops in down town Cairo if you get caught in the rain. Average temperatures for Cairo are low twenties in the winter dropping to 10 or 8 degrees at night. In the summer the temperatures are in the low 30's July and August being the hottest months with an average of 35 degrees centigrade during the day dropping to 20 degrees at night.

The weather of Egypt is very good and its comfartable all the year, so all people from all the world come to Egypt to enjoy staying in its fine sun.
